What is Cloud Computing?

The base is related to cloud computing.  It is a technology that provides 5 main types of services: storage, databases, computing capabilities, analytics and networking. In our model of data industrialist, it is the design, the implementation of the foundations of the data platform.

There are four types of Cloud architectures:

• Full cloud: all application infrastructure is hosted on a single public cloud provider;
• Multi cloud: the application infrastructure is shared between multiple public cloud providers;
• Private hybrid: the infrastructure is shared between a private dedicated part (often data storage) and a public part (for calculations);
• On-premise hybrid: similar to private hybrid except that the dedicated part of the infrastructure is hosted on-premise.

JEMS masters all of these architectures, which are offered by the four major players in the market: Amazon, Microsoft, Google and IBM.
Each provider has its advantages and disadvantages that we study together.
